Your music website always kept me up to date on the Music News. I am not sure who I would say is my favorite music artist; sometimes I think it is Justin Bieber, but then I think it is going to be Chris Brown. Music is my favorite subject in school and when I get out of high school I want to go to college and study music. I think I would really like to become a music teacher in either high school or grade school. Kids that age really seem to enjoy learning the art of music. I know when I was in grade school I started to have a love affair with music and playing the piano. My mother had bought me a piano when I was a little girl and I could hardly wait to get piano lessons. Now thanks to your website I was able to keep up on everything my favorite artist was doing.

When it comes to restoration projects one Glasgow Theatre has taken a novel approach to the difficult subject of fundraising. The Kings Theatre in the city centre has, since 2007, been involved in a process of redevelopment to try and restore the imposing old building to its former glory. Of course, funding has been granted from the Arts Council and the National Lottery but due to the high costs involved in such a project, even this has not proved sufficient. Over £600,000 was raised by placing a small levy on the ticket sales but, once more, extra funds were needed to complete the project. The approach now being tried is to allow theatre goers to sponsor a seat. Each sponsored seat carries a small engraved plaque with a dedication to the person or organisation sponsoring it. There are 2 price brackets – £300 and £450 and so far the uptake has been very good meaning that the restoration efforts have been continuing apace. Its good to see, in these difficult economic times that organisations such as the Kings Theatre don’t simply rely on public money or hand-outs to raise essential funds but rather come up with creative approaches to solving the problem. Hopefully this will serve as a model for future developments.
