A growing number of ladies engage or enroll in fitness programs that include chest exercises for women because of the common misconception that it helps increase one’s bust size. Unfortunately, such is not always the case. Chest exercises do more in toning the muscles than in giving women the opportunity to shop for larger bras. Hence, chest exercises are not always easy to perform.
To be fair, there are a lot of chest exercises for women that can be done without too much force exertion. Also, these exercises may be distinguished and suggested to be performed in terms of level.
For those who are only beginners in the fitness field, there are relatively easier workout routines that can be done. One is the pushup routine done on the knees. This is an altered type of the usual pushup exercises wherein the weight of the body is on the knees and the palms. The legs are raised upward to provide downward force. In pushups on the knees, the chest is exercised mainly because it is flattened almost to the floor before being raised again.
Chest press routines done with resistance bands can also fall under the beginners’ level. The resistance band is an easy tool to use. It simply has to be anchored on a sturdy notch and then pulled together by both arms. The chest muscles are exercised by the continuous closing in and releasing out of the arms-like a simple chest press but with more force and pressure on the arms and the chest.
When progressing to the intermediate and advanced level, certain additions can be accorded to the routines. For example, the pushup on knee routine can be done with an exercise ball. In this more complicated routine, the legs are propped on the ball while the upper body’s weight is bore by the arms. Or, combining tools like the resistance band and the exercise ball can also be done. The individual can put the weight on the ball through a sitting position while doing a chest press routine with the resistance band.
Whichever level and chest exercises for women are chosen and done, it is just important to remember to always work to the body’s limitations.
